Hand Work | The Art of the Block Print

If you know Elsie Green, you know that we really only traffic in two patterns:  block prints and stripes.  Our love of block prints goes way back to our first trip to India more than 20 years ago where we saw the blocks hand carved and the fabrics hand printed by artisans who passed their techniques down through generations.

The main room of the new house was a unique challenge.  It was large, but the client wanted it to feel intimate.  The client wanted it to be bright, but not sterile.   And like most open plans it contained three zones:  living, kitchen and dining, but in this house they are all visible from the front door.
