This year is my second autumn in New York City, and I have decided to put summer to rest and fully embrace it. I've taken my sweaters down off my top shelf, put my extra blanket back on my bed, and am leaning into long, leafy walks in the park.

I think bookshops in foreign cities are often overlooked as windows into the city's culture. It's a great way to meet locals and spend a quiet day slowing down the pace of your travels.

Having a well stocked pantry does not always mean having cupboards overflowing with options.  Usually just having the right things can create just as much magic as having many many things.
