I grew up in the 70s and my mother was always on top of fashion and home decor trends.  In the home I grew up in the kitchen was yellow, and our dining chairs were yellow leather with chrome frames.  Very chic for the time, I assure you.

So I have always had a soft spot in my heart for all shades of yellow.  And in another example of "my mom was head of her time" so, it seems, does Paris at the moment.  When I visited Marché Paul Bert in May at the start of our spring shopping trip, shades of yellow were everywhere.

Our favorite example was a pair of ochre velvet Togo sofas with a large brass chandelier fixture from Gare Saint-Lazare installed above them. Once that vignette was on our radar, the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon took over and we saw use of yellow over and over again.

While fashion is thinking about red for fall, we're thinking about ochre, butter, mustard and beeswax.   So our first collection of the new season celebrates all things yellow - painted furniture, sunny mohair, warm woods and burnished brass.

Feast your eyes on the collection and get a piece of this pretty Parisian trend for yourself.
