As the temps start to heat up, we start swapping our favorite summer cocktails into rotation. The key to nailing the warm weather cocktail hour is keeping it light, spritz-y, and citrus-y.

I've rounded up some of my favorite French cocktail recipes for you here. Even if you're not traveling this summer, these will make you feel like you're basking in the sunshine and people-watching on a Parisian sidewalk. Sip and enjoy.

The French 75

1 part gin, 3 parts champagne, a squeeze of lemon and a splash of simple syrup

The Aperol Spritz

1 part prosecco, 1 part soda water, 1 part Aperol

The Hugo Spritz

1 part soda water, 4 parts prosecco, splash of Saint Germain, garnish with mint and lemon

The Kir Royale

Champagne with a splash of Crème de Cassis
