Hand Work | The Art of the Block Print

If you know Elsie Green, you know that we really only traffic in two patterns:  block prints and stripes.  Our love of block prints goes way back to our first trip to India more than 20 years ago where we saw the blocks hand carved and the fabrics hand printed by artisans who passed their techniques down through generations.

Market Report | A Farmer's Market Inspired Thanksgiving Menu

We love a field trip, especially one that involves food.

We headed to the San Francisco Ferry Building, shopping bags and cameras in hand, in search of fresh seasonal ingredients for our thanksgiving menu. We found figs, beets, carrots, squash, kale, brussels sprouts on their stalks and pears to design our menu around.

Candles should not burn for more than four hours at a time or less than one, as this will result in an uneven burn and ultimately, a deformed candle. Allow the entire surface to become molten before blowing out, and resist from lighting it again until the wax has again solidified.

New Modern Farmhouse | Kitchen
