One grasshopper summer not too long ago, my daughters and I spent a beautiful week in northern Italy and settled into an aperitivo ritual that lasted well into the winter. and in the process, we re-learned to practice gratitude.
Each evening we would gather at the village square and reflect on our days, talking about how lucky we felt to be able to spend leisurely days exploring the countryside and leisurely nights enjoying an hours long wind down to the day.
When we returned home, we continued our aperitivo ritual at home with botanical elixirs and classic Shirley Temples, depending on our moods.
To create your own aperitivo ritual, you just need time, and a few ingredients
