With the recent passing of Earth Day, and while we always try to be mindful about how the actions of our day-to-day lives impact the environment regardless of the day(everyday should be earth day), we think it is a good time to pause and reflect on the sustainable practices we've implemented and found to be successful, and area's in which we can continue to improve.

Determined to be more thoughtful about where and how we invest our dollar, we thought a good place to begin was by pin pointing where we could make substitutions in our homes with practical products that are earth friendly. For us, investing in products and brands that make sustainability a top priority is extremely important. Over time, we've made small changes in our homes and lives to curb and even eliminate the use of items that need to be disposed of after a single use - mainly by replacing them with household goods that are reusable and thus, better for the environment. These considered purchases are a small steps we've taken, but ones that we've found impactful and relatively easy to implement.

Here is a roundup of some eco friendly products and simple practices that you can incorporate into your lives to eliminate single-use products in your home.

Insconspicious Consumption

Knowledge is power - we highly recommend reading Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Dont Know You Have by Tatiana Schlossberg as an informative read.

We know that navigating the climate crisis can sometimes be overwhelming and might leave you feeling a little helpless - we've shared these feelings at times too. It's easy to get caught up in the narrative that "it's all just too much," but we truly believe that if we collectively begin to adopt these types of simple lifestyle changes, become more knowledgable on the subject, and hold ourselves accountable as individuals, we'll come to find that these small changes and the commitment to treating Mother Earth with kindness and care can make a big impact.
