Steal My Sources | Laurie's Favorite Sources for Inspiration

I believe I am one of the last living catalog people.  I was working on catalog layouts and photoshoots when blue line meant writing on the proofs in blue pencil because the camera could not see the blue markings, when cut and paste was a literal term, and when a polaroid was taken of each image and hatched inside the photographer's armpit before anything was committed to film.

Checking In | Mimi Calpe

After the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, Tangier was a breath of fresh air. In this seaside gem situated just across the Strait of Gibraltar from the Spanish coast, we were able to relax and slow down. And our backdrop for our two days in Tangier was the beautiful villa hotel, Mimi Calpe.

City Guide | Tangier

Tangier and our hotel, Mimi Calpe, reminded us to slow down and enjoy each part of our day. We had long, indulgent meals, passed hours lazily by the pool with books in hand, and went on long walks through the beautiful city.

City Guide | Brooklyn - elsie green

City Guide | Brooklyn

I like to think of Brooklyn as Manhattan's equally chic but a bit more understated twin sister. The food and culture is equally excellent, but with bigger closets and more room to breathe (but still no in-unit washer/dryers). While I still make the pilgrimage into Manhattan multiple times per week for nights out and fabulous dinners I can't afford, I've come to appreciate Brooklyn for all it has to offer.

City Guide | San Juan

To escape the grey New York winter, I recently traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico. To say I was floored by the natural beauty, kind locals, and delicious food is an understatement.
