Near our family village of Montrozier, my friends Eric and Alexandre have created something completely different - a converted barn that feels like their Paris apartment transported to the countryside.

What I love most about French country entertaining is the ease with which it comes, especially in our village of Montrozier where my family has spent their vacations for twelve generations.

I'm a true Parisian - born and raised in the 7th arrondissement - but my roots run deep in Aveyron, a rural region in south-central France. Since childhood, I've spent my summers here, about two hours northeast of Toulouse, where rolling hills meet ancient villages.
