October, I Love You

October is one of my favorite months. It's cozy, crisp, and such a breath of fresh air after the stifling heat of summer.
I live in New York City, and October in New York is especially divine. My morning walks are a brisk 55 degrees, the park is a million shades of orange, and of course, the annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade.

For this month's Elsie's Eight, I've compiled eight recommendations to make the most out of your October.
1. The Perfect Fall Jacket
I think I've recommended this jacket 100 times on the Elsie Green blog, but it's truly the best jacket I've ever bought. The pale yellow goes with absolutely everything, and I wear it year round.

2. The Candle That Smells Like Fall

3. My Favorite Fall Cookbook
No one makes me feel cozy quite like Ina Garten.

4. My Favorite Boots
I finally invested in FRYE boots a couple of years ago and they were worth every single penny.

5. My Favorite Comfort Movie
Little Women (2019) by Greta Gerwig. No further questions.
6. Cozy Knits
My sweaters have moved from the back of the closet, and all of my favorites are back in rotation.
7. The Beauty Product Saving My Skin
My skin always acts up when the weather is changing, so I'm always looking for extra hydration. I'm home in California visiting my mom right now, so I've been stealing some of her Vintner's Daughter serum. It's divine.
8. Vintage Rugs
I'm looking for some new vintage rugs to layer into my New York apartment, and we just got some beautiful ones in.
