Cheese boards, butter boards and bagel boards have all had their moment in the zeitgeist. But we like to think we were out ahead of the trend.
Years ago, on our first Elsie Green shopping trip, we stumbled into Story Deli, a pop-up pizza shop in London's Shoreditch neighborhood. The owner made the food himself, and to hold us over while our pizza baked, he brought us a simple rocket salad served on a large bread board.
Since then, we've served our signature Furber Caesar Salad the same way. And often pies, hamburgers and pizzas are also served on big vintage bread boards. It's a simple flourish that always elicits gasps of appreciation from our guests.
