MOROCCAN TADELAKHT
We've always admired the Tadelakht plaster treatment on the walls of riads and hammams in Morocco. On our last trip, we visited a ceramics studio and watched these lovely small pieces being made by hand. A lime based plaster is applied bit by bit and heated with a small flame until the entire exterior is covered with the beautiful, lustrous finish that feels like natural stone. Each piece is a little work of art.
