About Daniel de Montmollin
Daniel de Montmollin was born in Switzerland in 1921. After his study theology he joined the ecumenical monastic community, the Communauté de Taizé (Bourgogne France) in 1942. In this community he started working as a cook and builder. In 1949 Frère Daniel became a self taught potter.
In 1952 he discovered the work of Philippe Lambercy and the two men joined to research the transformation of minerals in the firing process.
