For this month's Shop Gal Guide, we present: The Slow Summer Guide.

Somehow, I managed to overbook my summer. Between trips, plans, and an ever-growing to-do list, I've spent more time rushing from one thing to the next than actually enjoying the season. So for the rest of the summer, I'm making a conscious effort to slow down. The best summer moments are usually the ones that aren't planned at all—a long dinner that stretches into the evening, an extra chapter by the beach, or an afternoon with nowhere to be.

With that in mind, I asked each of the Shop Girls to share what they're reading, wearing, watching, and reaching for this summer as they savor the slower days of the season.

Here's what they had to say.

Laurie

"I'm rereading The Odyssey by Homer in prep for the movie. I'm mostly wired in for Zendaya and Law Roach's red carpet looks, but I want to revisit the story before seeing the movie."

Sepi

"I’ve been making homemade pesto with basil leaves from my parents' garden. It goes with everything."

Andie

"I've been walking a lot this year, and I'm leaning into it even more this summer. No route, nowhere to be...just me, my audiobook, and maybe an ice cream cone on the way home."

Michele

"I’ve been using these shower steamers for an at-home spa experience when I really need to wind down."

Anna

"I'm waiting on baby #2, and while I'm at home, I've been experimenting with the lemons from the lemon trees in my yard. I've been loving homemade lemon curd and vanilla ice cream lately."

India

"I love the Elsie Green playlists, and I always have one on when I'm spending a long afternoon at home."

Erin

"I just got back from two long weeks in the Hamptons with my sisters and our families, and we spent almost every single day at the beach. I loved sitting in this chair with my book while I was in between swims."

Paulina

"I love these Biodance overnight collagen face masks. You leave them on for up to eight hours, so I only do them when I have nowhere to be."
