If you had asked my fourth-grade self what the pinnacle of fashion looked like, I would've pointed straight to a pair of glittery jelly sandals. Somewhere around 2004, they were the shoe of every summer—worn to the beach, the pool, birthday parties, and just about everywhere else. Like so many beloved trends from the early 2000s, they've officially made their way back into our closets.

This time around, though, jelly sandals feel a little more grown up. The silhouettes are sleeker, the colors are softer, and they're just as easy to slip on with linen pants as they are with a swimsuit. Equal parts nostalgic and practical, they're proof that some childhood favorites deserve a second chance.
