El Fenn is an Elsie Green favorite. Since Sepi visited in 2019, it has slowly worked its way onto the travel wishlists of all of the EG shop girls. And to those of us who have made the journey, it was well worth it.

Located right in the heart of old Marrakech, El Fenn is the jewel of the Medina. Not only is it elegant and beyond comfortable, it is beautifully designed. Every detail is carefully curated, and is the perfect intersection of Moroccan and French style. As much as we want to try new places each time we travel, El Fenn has us returning again and again. And again.

We're not ones to hide away in our hotels when we travel, but we found no reason to ever leave El Fenn. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a traditional Moroccan tea service and a tour of the riads. We experienced a traditional hammam, and heard the call to prayer every morning, afternoon, and night. We spent an entire day lounging by the pool reading and sipping mojitos with fresh mint.

But our favorite ritual was dinner on the roof each night. We always started our evening sipping cocktails while looking out over the Katoubia, followed by a traditional Moroccan meal. But best of all, as we retired to our rooms each evening, the El Fenn staff had set out trays of floating tea lights in the pool next to our room. It was the perfect setting to take a moment to pause and feel gratitude.
