What makes Elsie Green special is our people. We've got a few former corporate executives, a floral designer, a former interior designer,  and a vintage collector.  But we're all shopkeepers at heart, manning the packing table, giving our signature brand of extraordinarily personal service in the shop, traveling the French countryside looking for pretty things, and playing with the merchandise all day.

Meet Isabella, our Marketing Assistant. She helps Kelsey and Sepi with everything related to marketing.  She's based in Sydney, Australia and just graduated from the University of British Columbia.  Isabella is an avid traveller, beach goer and dog lover. Read on to get to know her better.  And watch for her bi-weekly series "Trends from Down Under" appearing on the blog.

Favorite way to spend your free time?

Recently, my free time has been consumed with lots of puppy cuddles and long coastal walks. For my 22nd birthday, my parents gifted me my beautiful cavoodle pup, Poppy. We do everything together now, and of course, we document it all so you can come along too - follow @picsofpoppy_ for content, I promise you won’t regret it. xx

What are you reading right now?

I am currently reading Ghosts by Dolly Alderton, a book that I immediately picked up after finishing her last book, Everything I Know About Love. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend that you do, I simply could not put it down. A few other books that I have enjoyed recently are:

What is your all time favourite movie?

I have a different favourite movie depending on what mood I am in, what time of year it is and who I am watching it with. When I am with my family, we have a terrible habit of rewatching the same movies over & over again. I don’t know how this list was curated, or when we agreed upon it but it seems to consist of; My Cousin Vinny, Love Actually, Bridget Jones Diary, Coach Carter, Seabiscuit, Kicking & Screaming, Glory Road and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. There is no theme connecting these movies, but they are all excellent. I will also binge watch anything true crime related.

Favourite travel destination you have visited?

If I had to pick my favourite travel destination I think it would be Iceland.  It is truly unlike anywhere else I have ever been, and I am convinced that there is no place on Earth more photogenic. That being said, Bora Bora was my favourite trip. My Mom & I spent a week living in a little bungalow above the water, reading books and drinking margaritas. That memory will forever be my happy place.

What is a dream travel destination you would like to go to?

I can’t pick just one so I am going to give you my top three; the Galapagos Islands, Kruger National Park and South Georgia Island off the coast of Antarctica. I am so fascinated by the rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems that they are home to and would love to be able to witness them for myself.

Daily uniform?

My daily uniform is very simple. If I find a staple item that fits me perfectly, I buy it in every colour. On the bottom I like to wear high rise straight leg denim or corduroy pants paired with either my Vejas or Alias Mae slides. And on top I wear an oversized blazer with a plain long-sleeve or a tee-shirt underneath depending on the season. When I go out, I tend to incorporate bold statement pieces such as my pink wide leg pants or my white cowboy boots.

What are your 2021 Resolutions?

My 2021 resolution was to step away from fast fashion, and to begin curating a capsule wardrobe that consists of long lasting items that are sustainably sourced and ethically produced. As I majored in environmental sustainability in college, I am always trying to find new ways to make my lifestyle less harmful to the world around me. This is a change that I knew I would struggle with and have been putting off for years, but the time has come. As sustainable clothing brands tend to be more expensive, I now buy fewer items and each purchase is made more deliberately. Some of my favourite sustainable brands are Saturday the Label, Hansen & Gretel and Bassike

  5. Gucci Bloom Perfume:  It stays on my skin all day & makes me smell like flowers.
  6. Fenty lip gloss in Fussy Heat: Thank you, Rihanna.
  7. My relaxed straight leg jeans: They are the perfect fit. I have them in black, blue & white.
