The company became part of the International Silver Company in 1898, yet the Rogers & Hamilton name continued to appear on beautifully crafted flatware and hollowware prized for their quality, durability, and timeless design.

Many Rogers & Hamilton pieces are marked "XII," signifying the company's Extra Sectional Plate process. Rather than applying a uniform layer of silver, this innovative manufacturing technique concentrated additional silver on the areas of a piece that experienced the most wear—such as the bowl of a spoon or the back of a handle. The result was silverplate designed to withstand years of daily use while maintaining its beauty, reflecting a thoughtful approach to craftsmanship that set the company apart.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2336/3701/files/SKU_194638_Antiquemonogrammedspoonsetof9_6938.jpg?v=1785815444
