The Carry On | It's a Lifestyle

For the last decade or so, my mother and I have been in a love affair with the carry on suitcase. It all stemmed from my first trip to Europe, when I tagged along on an Elsie Green sourcing trip with my mom. We stayed in a château that belonged to a woman named Chantal, and as the incredible host she is, she housed us in the castle's turret. We were so excited, until we realized we'd have to lug our checked bags up the ancient spiral staircase.

Since then, we have been fully committed to the carry on suitcase lifestyle. It is small, simple, and will fit in any overhead bin. You don't have to worry about your things getting lost, and can lug it easily down any European cobblestone street. However, this petite suitcase situation does require some strategic and expert packing.
Over the years, I've compiled a formula of all of my must-haves in my carry on. The key is to embrace being an outfit repeater, and make sure everything can be mixed and matched. Take a scroll, and start planning your next summer getaway.
