The latest Bon Appetit magazine is called "The Simple Issue", with the cover having only a peach surrounded by a blush background. Every recipe in the magazine is 5 ingredients or less, amazing right? We want to bring that simplicity to you today.
Today at Elsie Green we decided to dedicate a shop category just to breakfast. Breakfast is essential, and with back to school just around the corner, it becomes even more important for starting the day on the right foot.
This breakfast setting above is so simple, which is why our eyes gravitate towards it. Jam and toast is easy, and we love the seasonality of jam. We like making strawberry-rhubarb and apricot jams in the summer.
We're sharing a simple jam recipe that you can try at home. Take a look at this strawberry jam recipe below!
1 quart strawberries
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
In a food processor, process strawberries until coarsely chopped. Transfer to a large skillet and stir in sugar and lemon juice. Cook over medium-high, stirring frequently until jam is thickened and bubbles completely cover surface, 9 to 10 minutes. Transfer jam to a jar and let cool to room temperature. (To store, seal jar and refrigerate, up to 10 days).
