It's Time To Shine | Dressing in Metallics

Here at Elsie Green, us gals are really leaning into winter whites in our homes and in our closets. It's a neutral that seems apropos for the upcoming season. However, there is another neutral that naturally seems to be pop up to say hello during the busy holiday season of social engagements and general merry making: metallics.
Yes. Metallics are a neutral. They seamlessly pair with any other color, and when paired with other solids like black, white or brown, can be that perfect shimmer antidote. Not sure what to throw on your feet or over your shoulder? Metallics! Need a super quick outfit that will make you feel chic and festive? A metallic suit set or sheath dress will have you feeling put together, and make you feel just the right amount of festive. Not ready to commit to a full metallic ensemble? Metallics are popping up in our makeup. Pop on some silver eyeliner and voila!
Silver metallics have that chic, icy, wintery aesthetic nailed down, while you can get a rosy glow on with golds, bronze and rose gold. To have a more streamlined look, using one metallic will be a classic femme tactic, but one doesn't need to shy away from mixing metals. They play nicely together.
In my every day life my favorite clothing item is a perfect pair of denim, and you can bet I will be throwing on a pair of silver mary janes to pair with my jeans for day to day. When we walk into any holiday party, office meeting, or coffee shop, we can still make the whole place shimmer.
