Fashion After 40 | In Living Color

I had one singular thought process when it came to fashion this year. And it may or may not have been what outfit I was going to wear to Taylor Swifts Eras tour, one will never tell. Maybe it was Taylor's all encompassing influence, maybe it was Barbie taking over the world, or maybe it was my need to shake the dust off of my normal neutral wardrobe rotation. But one thing is certain: color and pattern are on my mind.
Pops of color started showing up in my wardrobe earlier this year. A bright colored shoe here, a patterned bag there. It could be as subtle as I wanted, or as bold as I dared. But once I stepped foot in chartreuse, the next thing I knew I was pairing my black jumpsuit with a sequined duster, and my denim with a shocking pink top. There was no stopping me, and to be honest, I didn't want to be stopped.
As we start our transition from summer to autumn, I am looking forward to embracing the chill in the air with a pop of color in the form of a red French beret, or patterned pants showing underneath my coat. Bright and bold statement earrings will take the stage when I have my hair pulled back in a French twist. This season you can find me on the sunny side of the street.
